Finally back on track (I hope!) This Artist of the Week is....Elizabeth Halperin!  Elizabeth is nothing short of talented. I seriously am always mind blown by her creativity and dedication to being realistic. (and perfect, because we artists are our own worst critics) I remember when she first came out creating, and was taking the drastic resculpting world by a storm. She's still a storm, but a good one that I want to see keep booming. I appreciate seeing the enthusiasm for drastics and seeing their place in the world of model horses. Its not just that they are drastic, but she has an eye for bringing out the best elements and poses in the sculpts she creates. I really like how she sculpt wrinkles. I'm a weirdo maybe in this aspect, but good wrinkles and hair flow is quite exceptional for me. 😂 And she can PAINT. Her painting skills go hand in hand, and its great to see how good she is with bright, well toned colour. Her micro work is to die for.... so very lovely. Her eage...

Life lately has been happening.  Let me say that again.  I apologize for the lack of activity. Two weeks of no Artist of the Week and I've had some folks ask me if I'd stopped already, which I suddenly and painfully remembered my forgotten blog at the moment.  I haven't stopped whatsoever, in fact, I'm determined to march on. I mentally could not hold a brush after everything that was going on. But I'm working on changing that, one step at a time. First off, my colt was moved to his new home and I stayed a few days to watch over him to help him settle in, which went real well actually, until I had started working with him again in the new place. We hit a very large bump with our training and it/he knocked me off my feet, quite literally. I have now to seek some professional help with his newfound aggressi...

Hello! Today I am wanting to share Wiktoria of Mibiam studio. 💜 She is a up and coming sculptor in this hobby and I am so excited for this wonderful talented artist who is growing and learning that includes her fan club with her in the trying process of complicated matters of artistry. From creating to casting, the learning process in which I've been watching her grow and its inspiring how she navigates it.  And her horses are so amazing and full of character, that are a wonderful addition to the hobby. I will never believe that there are too many sculptors in this hobby, and that there is room for any person who is working on a dream and wanting to share their creations they worked so hard on. Wiktoria is a prime example, and I am very eager to see where she goes with her talented 3D and hand sculpted creations. Her style is unique to her own, and I know when I see a picture of her work. She has an eye for different, unique, and the detail in her sculptures is astounding!  A...
